Chess Tactics for Beginners is one of my favorites. Its a great training tool for all players under 1000. There are lots of well designed positions where you must win material or checkmate quickly. It even has positions where the correct move allows you to force a draw. Going through lots and lots of these problems will be very helpful for any player who wants to improve rapidly. Highly recommended.
