Western PA Scholastic Chess
Top 9th Grade

The purpose of this particular list is primarily to allow a large group of kids to look up their ratings. It is not meant to reflect the top Western PA players in each grade for several reasons. Firstly, it includes many out of state students who happen to have played in Pittsburgh at one time or another. Secondly, it includes ratings that may be based on as few as 4 games. Ratings based on such a small number of games are often very unreliable. Thirdly, this list includes students who may be currently inactive, since it goes back quite a few years.
